Click here to make your own ancient Egyptian cartouche. A cartouche is a nameplate made from hieroglyphics (ancient Egyptian writing symbols); kings, queens and other rich people used to use them (and they were sometimes attached to their coffins when they died).
Egyptians used to believe that if they didn’t have their name written down somewhere, when they died they would disappear. I have my own cartouche (click here to see it), so you must all call me King Lovegrove from now on! ![]()
