Click here to make your own ancient Egyptian cartouche. A cartouche is a nameplate made from hieroglyphics (ancient Egyptian writing symbols); kings, queens and other rich people used to use them (and they were sometimes attached to their coffins when they died).
Egyptians used to believe that if they didn’t have their name written down somewhere, when they died they would disappear. I have my own cartouche (click here to see it), so you must all call me King Lovegrove from now on! ![]()

Jamie was chosen as last week’s star of the week for working hard and for being a good friend - this was the third time this year that he was selected to be our class star.
Ella has been chosen to be our next star of the week for working hard to write a brilliant poem and for being good fun. This is the second time she has been picked to be a class star whilst in Year Four.
Well done both of you! ![]()
