Click here to play ‘A Frog’s Life’. The idea of this game is to keep your frog’s energy level high by eating dragonflies and gnats. Jump from lily to lily by clicking with the mouse, and press the space bar to eat flying creatures. If you run out of energy, or end up in the pond, the game ends. You need to type your name in the name box before you can start. Enjoy! ![]()

I have put some pictures from today’s literacy lesson on ancient Egyptian questions and answers on the Year Four section of our school website - click here to view them.
Click here to have a go at making your own ancient Egyptian mummy. When the program loads, click on the ‘Enter’ button to begin. Prepare to be shocked though - some of the things that the Egyptians did to dead bodies were very gruesome.
Click here to make your own ancient Egyptian cartouche. A cartouche is a nameplate made from hieroglyphics (ancient Egyptian writing symbols); kings, queens and other rich people used to use them (and they were sometimes attached to their coffins when they died).
Egyptians used to believe that if they didn’t have their name written down somewhere, when they died they would disappear. I have my own cartouche (click here to see it), so you must all call me King Lovegrove from now on! ![]()
Next term’s topic is ‘Ancient Egypt’ - this is going to be a fascinating topic as we are going to be learning about Egyptian mummies, pharaohs, Gods, pyramids and lots, lots more. Below are some links that you may find useful if you would like to start learning about ancient Egypt today.
You wouldn’t want to be an Egyptian mummy!
If you would like to download a net to make a pyramid from, click here. You will need to print out the page that is downloaded. ![]()

Congratulations to Dan B, Freddie A, Lily S and Megan P (the ‘On the Ning Nang Nong’ group) and Sam A, George B and Alife H (the ‘The Battle’ group) for two excellent performances at tonight’s poetry evening.
The ‘On the Ning Nang Nong’ group won the Lower Juniors Groups category, so a special well done to them. Megan P was chosen to step in for Amber P (who also needs congratulating for all of her hard work) who couldn’t perform at the evening due to her going on holiday.
Well done to all of you! ![]()
