2d and 3d shapes

Cuboid

I used a brilliant website during our DT lesson on Thursday to show you 2d and 3d shapes - click here to view that site for yourself. When the website opens, click on either ‘2d shapes’ or ‘3d shapes’, read the information on the screen, click on the ‘next’ button and then click on or hover your mouse over individual shapes to learn more about them. Enjoy! :)

The Tudors

Henry VIII

Ahhh - the Tudors! I’m bet you’re glad you weren’t around when Henry VIII was King - make a wrong move and you could have ended up without a head! Click on the links below to learn more about what it was like living in Tudor times.

Tudor daily life

Tudor children and schools

Tudor crime and punishment

Have a go at answering these questions:

  • Where was water collected from in Tudor times?
  • How many days a week did Tudor children usually spend at school?
  • What were two methods of punishment used during Tudor times if someone broke the law?

Post the correct answers in a comment for a sticker. Remember, never use your full name whilst using this site.

Science - teeth

Teeth

During science I read to you from a website about teeth. Click here to view that site for yourself.

  • Can you remember what the different teeth in your mouth do?
  • What does the word ‘incisors’ remind you of?
  • What job does your tongue do?
